Motor Scooter Primer

A motor scooter is a two-wheeled motorized vehicle differing from both a moped and a motorbike. Mopeds, which are bikes with a motorized pedaling that look more like bicycles than motorbikes, do not carry the same weight, structure or modern advancements. On the other hand, a motorbike can be distinguished by the tank, which is located between the handlebars and the rider and the engine located beneath the rider and closer to the front of the vehicle. Motor scooters typically have a step-through frame, with an engine located behind the rider at the rear of the vehicle and a platform or integrated footrests for the driver’s feet.
