Blemishes, blotchiness, larges pores, etc. can me easily treated with homemade skin care products or natural organic and botanical skin care products.  Don’t be mislead when purchasing your next skin care products, read the labels and look for natural ingredients.

Our skin is the largest organ in the body and can reflect our general health.  In addition, our skin is probably the most abused organ on the body from environmental factors, stress, dehydration, sun exposure, etc.  Our skin needs to be protected and nourished.

The Wonders of Epsom Salt

Posted on August 25, 2008

Epsom salt can improve skin, draw toxins and heavy metals from your body, and reduce stress.

Epsom salts are named for the mineral rich waters of Epsom, England, where they were known at least as far back as Shakespeare’s day.  When bathing, the magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) is absorbed through the skin and is an inexpensive and natural way to reduce stress, treat skin problems, and draw toxins from the body.

What’s in Your Skin Care Cream?

Posted on August 25, 2008

Have you read the lable on your natural skin care products lately?  Chances are they are full of chemicals and have very little natural ingredients such as aloe vera and very little of the essentials oils that are needed to provide the benefits they claim.

The skin care industry has the public convinced that their products will bring you a glowing complexion, reduce wrinkles and reduce discoloration.  However, the cosmetic industry is not regulated and so long as they list the ingredients on the bottle as required by the FDA they can make all the claims they like.    Additionally, many skin care companies use the term “Natural? when in reality many products contain less than 1% of a natural ingredient such as aloe Vera, or other essential oils.

Facing Reality: Handling Disappointments

Posted on August 25, 2008

Like many of you I have been relishing the feats and records at the Beijing Olympics this last week.   The results have been a Goal Setting 101 course on focus, action; repetition, and celebration.

However, I am more interested in seeing how the athletes have handled their disappointments; just missing a medal, having a disastrous on-the-day performance, injuries; or seemingly inexplicable losses.

The training and 4 years of mental and physical torture these athletes have put themselves through to get to the Olympics in the first instance can only be celebrated. Being there is a huge result.  For some though, the heavy burden of expectation of family, friends, their country and themselves have not been met.

Finding a way to give better fuel economy can mean real savings for fleet operators and trucking companies. The science behind the effectiveness of fuel reformulators is hard to ignore.

To be able to appeciate how it is possible to get improved fuel economy from a diesel engine, its a good idea to go back to basics to understand a little more about diesel and how it works.

By doing this it is easy to see how cost savings can be made and how a better fuel consumption rate (miles per gallon, or mpg) will give you an overall cheaper diesel fuel cost.
